About Mike Daub

Mike is originally from Erie, Pennsylvania. He attended Wesleyville Elementary School, Lawrence Park Elementary School, and Iroquois Junior-Senior High School, where he participated in  marching band, varsity soccer, and drama club.

Mike attended The Pennsylvania State University in University Park, Pennsylvania, made the Dean’s List every Semester, and earned two Bachelor of Science degrees in Mathematics and Physics.

Mike attended graduate school in the Department of Physics at the University of California at Berkeley, and earned a Master of Arts degree.  He worked on the ACBAR (Arcminute Cosmology Bolometer Array Receiver) project, which measured anisotropies of the cosmic microwave background (CMB) radiation. Mike worked five summer seasons at  Amundsen-Scott South Pole Station, Antarctica, where the ACBAR receiver operated. While at U.C. Berkeley, he served as president of the Physics Graduate Student Association, a physics delegate to the campus-wide Graduate Assembly, and the Graduate Assembly’s Funding Committee Chair.

Recently, Mike taught physics and mathematics courses in California, Pennsylvania, and New York. He is also an avid poker player.
